Thriving Career

Commissioner Henry has worked at every level of government. Currently, he serves as a local nonprofit’s Director of Public Policy. Most recently, Keith served as Texas City, City Commissioner, District 1. in addition to having nonprofit experience and higher education experience. Keiths’ career accomplishments include managing $50m and $20m and public funding $20m portfolios, cofounding an inner-city youth baseball league, and starting a reading literacy initiative by creating “little free libraries” throughout historically under-served communities. Keith has published numerous academic and policy articles, obtained a Master of Public Administration from Texas Southern University, and a Bachelor of Arts & Letters in English/Minor in Journalism from the State University of New York College at Buffalo State College (Buffalo, NY). While attending Buffalo State, Commissioner Henry was an All-conference and All-Academic track athlete.
